It doesn't really work - my system quickly gobbles up the whole connection. It's a bit of a showstopper. Is it in Twisted, NZBLeecher or Hellanzb? I'm using Linux 2.4 with all the suggested support software/versions.

Other than this, Hellanzb is a fantasic program. Thanks!

as i'm developing a widget, i noticed a few irregularities. 1) the currently_downloading from status() is an array, but speed and ETA are not. 2) it'd be nice to pass an url to have it download that url (nzb) 3) the log is horrible to parse; it'd be nice if the type would be a property of the logentry, not the key. Adding timestamps etc. would be nice too. 4) being able to ask for log-entries specific to an nzbid would be nice 5) being able to request and set configuration settings would be great; especially where the hellanzb.conf is, where the hellanzb.py is etc. 6) some kind of 'ping' to test wether the xml-rpc connection is up and running; perhaps accepting a single string as it's inut and returning that on respons.

Its a shame that this great project is limited by the rar executable. p7zip handles RAR, zip, etc, and is open source.

Hi, downloading postID 1655204 , hellanzb joined all files but 1-9. The 1-9 files are in the DEST DIR, waiting to be added to the image ...

what is strange is that in the debug log, it starts from 10, not from one ... Assembling split file from parts: Fallout 2.toast.*.. ['Fallout 2.toast.10', 'Fallout 2.toast.11' ........

I had a multipart zip file (.zip.001, .zip.002, ...) Hellanzb checked the files, assembled them , but didn't unzip the new file ... Doesn't the unrar tool do that too ? (i know that zip files are quite uncommon these days :-)

My isp (Tiscali) has a 'fair use policy' - which means i should not do mass downloads at peak times (6pm>11pm) - is there a way to implement a download exclusion window - so i can stop the software attempting process & download files at certain times of the day.

Let's say we have queued files A and B (in that order) and defined servers foo and bar. bar doesn't have A's articles; foo has all the articles.

While A is being downloaded from foo, the connection(s) to bar stay idle after hellanzb has determined that any of the articles aren't available from there.

Hellanzb should finish downloading A from foo, but begin downloading B from bar simultaneously.
